anotherperson had grips on the back of his N64p (link, pics seem to be dead, though). That would be the best solution, oval with the bottom half of the controller bondo'd into the back.

Yeah, I tried a mock of your design(I have multiple controller shells, and another wii stock shell) and i turns out that would be INCREDIBLY uncomfortable...
I got another GC today, I'm trading it off to a friend for another one, this one lacks a powerboard!

I hate my regulators right now, I cannot seem to get the voltages I want. I used the same ones skyone did, with the same diagrams and parts... Anyone else do this?

I switched out the resistors(2 120 ohms, and then 2 62 ohms) to see if I got different voltages...no luck, same exact thing.

The LMS1585-ADJ holds a reference voltage of 1.25v, so that's where that number is coming from. The datasheet (page 6) should help you. I'm not sure if my calculations are incorrect, but if they are, let me know. It's been a long time since I did this.
