edit: it you sand the white stuff off the board it gets all over everything! and it burns when it gets into bad solder iron burns and open cuts

Why are you sanding with open cuts!?!? :shock:

It should all come off with the sanding. Desolder as much as you can.

Because I told him to? :P Actually, it would be great if we could get some scans, that would be better than a pinout, imho. And from there I could derive one, and begin designing something I can sell to people here...

I have it all sanded down, and I'm gonna have to break the chip off with my needle nosed pliers tomorrow<--wrong tell me how to spell it vskid, and then Ill get the pics up

btw, do you have an electric sander, SS because that was harder than crap to sand off :(

Yeah, I do. Are you using JUST the sand paper? I'd atleast get one of those holder thingies.

I have a couple of busted 3rdparty gc controller, I could do a pinout of these, but it might be different

yes just the sandpaper, my block is all broken from 14 years of previous use, I still have a bit more as I noticed the ocsillator didn't come off either
