I don't recall saying to not do anything, I just said don't expect total strangers to get excited for you. Seriously, it feels like a kindergarten class in here, the way people bang on about their birthdays. Celebrate it, by all means, if that's your thing, but quit expecting strangers to care.

My 18th was spent in the pub. Drank responisbly and had a load of fun with some old mates. Most of my mates woke up from their 18th's covered in vomit. I know which one I prefer.
