Feedback on my new computer build

Well, if one was going to be buying a discreet card anyways, the IGP would end up being a large waste of space (and probably money, as motherboards are a fair amount cheaper when they lack such components)

If you're that strapped for cash, why not hold off for a couple months? You'll save some money up and prices will drop a bit.

totokan: the 790gx motherboards are moderately priced ($100-$150) so that isn't to big of an issue and it has decent overclocking features. I'm going to wait and see how the 790fx with the SB750 perform and the prices (it doesn't have an IGP).

bicostp: I need this computer to be up and running for school, which starts soon. I also just like AMD's offerings right now.

everyone else: Gaming isn't this systems main purpose & how would you rate this computer build compared to other AMD systems (no Intel).

EDIT: I also need the ability to upgrade within the next few years. With Intel's new Core i7, I'll have to buy another motherboard and probably memory. Whereas with AMD the Deneb processors with be compatible with the AM2+ socket (only downside is that you can't use DDR3 memory). A good quote, "A Q6600 is a dead end, even if it's a viable CPU for a few years. It's replacing an old motherboard and CPU with another old motherboard and CPU that will require major replacement if he wants better performance by this spring."

So, I'll be sticking with AMD for my build.

Why would you have to buy another motherboard/RAM? They aren't changing architectures, just smaller manufacturing process...

The Intel Core i7 (Nehalem) is going to be using a different socket than the current processors that they have out (ones I would use to build this computer) meaning if I go the Intel route my system is a dead end. AMD is keeping AM3 processors backwards compatible with AM2+ motherboards, the only thing is that it will revert to using DDR2 memory instead of DDR3.
