PS3 fan small 3 pin to PC fan big 3 pin

aite cool ill get one tomorrow hopefully it will all go well...also is there any specific direction the capicator has to go?

don't go off my word alone since my experience with this kind of stuff is limited and i haven't studied it in a year, but i believe you want the current to go from the negative end to the positive end.

Yup, power from the board should go into the lead marked as negative, then hook into the fan on the lead that's positive (usually unmarked).

ok i got the 220 uf at 35v at radioshack and no cigar, does not power on at all, even when i try the external powe source where it used to work the fan does not run, i even tried flipping the capicator but no cigar, any idea?

update:

I used the multimeter and found outt that before the current goes through capicator it is reciving the full energy required to run fan but when checking the current after, there is no current/voltage reading...is this too strong of a capcitor?

yep everything worked, i am thinking about adding a small exhaust fan to blow out the hot air and hook it up to same port, how do i connect my big fan and small fan so they can draw power from same source? the small fan only has a black and red wire.

In that case, the red should be for the 12v line, and the black should be for ground. Don't put anything on the signal/data/pulse line. Wire it up in parallel and you're set.

I have the main fan plugged into data but it does not do anything.

This is what I think I have to do? Not sure what parallel circut means...

I think you've got it. Parallel means that the power and grounds are common.
