And after the 10 kids he's hated in his 30 years of teaching have all come back to do him wrong, he starts to lose his cool, and is now an ass hole to all of his students. Even though he was once a great teacher, one that many could reflect back on, thinking "nobody ever got the point across like he did", he gets fired, because of some misunderstanding he had with a kid, because of the anger issues he developped because his prior students couldn't grow the hell up. Nobody will suffer except him, because he lives alone with 25 cats. The worst that would happen is people have to hear about his experience.

And even if this doesn't happen, you set the precedent that it can, it will, and even worse, that it will be accepted as common law.
A major part of life is the ability to look past your own goals, and see to what effect your actions have on those around you, whether they be friends or enemies.
