Truss rod is the last adjustment to fall back on. Theres a certian way it should be (google it for exact measurements. IIRC its something like 3/32" gap at the 12th when you press down on 5th and last frets or something), its not exactly an "adjustment" as much as just something that should be set correctly. Although it could be a source of buzz if it isnt set right.
If you have fret buzz, then raise the strings a bit, using the (hex?) screws on the saddles. heres a picture.

theres two on each one, at the top. The "eyes" if you will (it looks like a face haha)
You also could just be playing too hard.

Well if you havent found something like this already heres a guide to decide if you need to mess with the truss rod. You probably should have a feeler gauge handy.
