I was thinking I would get a Dell simply because they were supposed to be good and last?
As for using it for 10 years:
I know it will be outdated by then. The computer I current use is around 5 years old and is still rather good for gaming and the likes. I more meant that the laptop would LAST 10 years in the first place.
I thought dells were near the best for quality, lasting parts, and HP laptops only lasted 2-3 years before starting to fall apart.
Of course, I'm new at this.
Also, I'm not planning on buying a laptop now. I will be buying in 8-11 months. I simply want to start finding out all I can about brands and technologies and the likes. I am iffy about spending >$1000 on one, but I don't want to get one that sucks.
Currently, I am going on "Will it run Bioshock?"
What other brands should I be looking at that provide a quality, lasting laptop?
Laptop Batteries.
