Now, if you based your reasoning around the price or the service plan, it would be a valid argument. Just being antifanboyish makes you sound silly.

I suggest you get something like <a href="http://www.tracfone.com/phones.jsp?task ... ">these</a>. Why? Phones, text messaging, and all that other gimmicky trash just costs more money. I haven't found another carrier that offers a phone (not a wannabe PDA) for a better price. My Nokia 282 is from 1999 and still works just fine.

If you really want internet access, email, a camera, and all those other goodies, get a smartphone. You'll have a real OS to run programs on.

What do you want in a phone? Good internet access, media player, games, what? You just post a few and say "what should I get". No one here knowns what you want in a phone unless you tell us.

Or you could get a tracphone and a nice PDA.

Nokia 5300, very nice versatile phone. It's a slider, has a 1.3 MP. camera, and I believe is comes with a free 1GB Micro SD card, and is useful because the phone doubles as an MP3 player. Small, not too small, very nice, and very customizable. And it's cheap, it's 100 after a 50 dollar mail in rebate (so when you buy it, it's 150 really).
