I remember when me and a friend were chilling in my living room watchin tv and playin with legos when our house got his by lighting. The bolt traveleds through the houses electrical system, came out a plug socket and shot across the room to another power socket. almost hit my friend

I'm pretty sure a good surge protector should keep most appliances safe. Anyone like to verify?

That and these handy little things called FUSES that are in EVERY CIRCUIT FOR EVERY ROOM IN YOUR HOUSE!

But On myth busters, they tested the Phone Myth, talking on a telephone during a thunder storm, and it was confirmed, it can kill you.

I do believe they disproved it and then tied the negative end directly to the house's ground, and that's what kills you, talking normally on a phone is fine.

Go out, buy a power strip with surge protection, and go wild with the electronics during storms.
