DMS4 E.Z.I. Lite... Just ordered one, what can i expect!!!

I just got an email about someone buying both chips... If the exchange doesn't got hrough, i'll get back with you on them... Ok? Thats sucks about your PStwo... Are you sure it WAS indeed the chip, or maybe the fact those little pices of sh*t don't last long...

Not dissing on ya... I've heard some bad things about those little guys...

you may want to read this although it dose come from those that have some animosity twords DMS (for good reson) but its still very true I ment to post it before but I forgot

All beef against the new DMS team aside, there has been a massive influx of dead consoles since the DMS teams latest product, the DMS4 EZI has been introduced into the retail market.

We have been warning members of the DMS teams "innovative" clip technology for quite a while now. They make it seem as if these clips are completely original, however, we can prove otherwise.

The original clip design was made by the well known group Neoasic almost 3 years ago. Their first clip introduces for the neo4 chip. In time many people had complaints about the clips wreaking all sorts of havok on their consoles even after their installation worked for days, weeks and even months. Issues from just black screens, short circuits and worst case was the pressure forced down on the bios would break its legs rendering the ps2 unrepairable by even a seasoned installer. We are already seeing a huge amount of complaints in its first week of sale alone. Probably the most that any modchip has ever gotten.

If you dont believe me then the proof is in the pudding. All sorts of problems here at ps2-scene and at the DMS very own forums.

Harsh lesson learned here. There is nothing like having a seasoned professional do your installs with real wires.

update Feb 13

Unkv has posted some interesting information regarding the true manufacturers of their clip technology. The DMS EZI page claims that the clips were not developed and manufactured in japan as it states on their EZI page. Infact the clips were made in tawain by a company called Vensik Electronics Co. and that the DMS team were warned of the quailty of such clips, more importantly, the DSP clip. Quoted below is a clip of Unkv's post exposing the truth about the true quality of the poorly manufactured clips.

Sjeep of the DMS team has also attempted to explain some "interesting" yet extremely laughable things about the EZI technology. Much of these hilarious claims were also made about the many failing DMS4 modchips. Read the quote below for one helluva laugh!

Surely, this post by them is aimed at fooling those who clearly do not know any better. Seasoned Vets and installers would clearly know this is simply not the case when it comes to just how sturdy the ps2 actually is.

If people aren't smart enought or ealize it can break their console, they shouldn't try to install it themselves, even if it is solderless... I' not stupid, so i won't break it... If I do break my console, I'll remove the chip and send it back as "never installed", and I'll re-seal the bag. I have nothing to lose if I "do" break the console. I'll just buy one off eBay for $20...

I'm not worried about it. To be honest, I think it'll last as long as i need it becuase I've always had good luck witht hings like this. I had my old PS2, before Ib roke it, for 5 years without problems, when everyone else 's broke. Just because some people broke there's doesn't mean i'll break mine, or mine will break/malfunction. Persoanlly, i thinkw hat you said was immature. "Tell me so I can make fun of you..." It won't break... Watch!

I just got the chip today, and wow... How do people screw this up. The Clips ahve spacers that go between each leg!!! This separates each pin fromt he rest. The onyl way to short it is to bend a pin int he clip over the spacer! This will be easy. Just gotta get my PS2 in... I just had an idea before I got the chip though. What if you onyl used the DSP clip, since there's so many spots, and just soldered all the other connections? They already provide the ire and all that. There are quite a lot of BIOS chip pins though too... I dunno. Just an idea. That would eliminate the need of the E.Z.I., an dI could've just bought the original for WAY cheaper.

its not that people screw up the installation, its the nature of those clips. even the tiniest error in manufacturing can cause problems. why do you think things like tsop test clips cost hundreds of dollars. the dms team knows that so they keep on insisting that these failures are the fault of the installers.

I can't keep backing it up without seeing it in action first. I have to wait for my PS2 though. Once i get it, it may not work, and i'll be at the same level as all of you guys.

you order a ez install and you haveing someone else install it? you should have just got a real chip if you where goin to do that

Well, I got my PS2 in today. The jackass lied about the console, and it has already had a mod chip installed. The thing is completely destroyed. I F***ING HATE PEOPLE I SWEAR!!! What the F*** MAKES PEOPLE DO THAT SH*T!!! Well, there went that $60.75... D*** HEAD!!! I wish I could've left negative feedback, but since he hadn't left me feedback yet, I assumed he would ALSO leave neg. feedback and start my whole eBay account down the hill... It doesn't lok good if you're first feedback remark was neg.! ANYONE have a PS2 they would like to tade or sell... I got a DC, lots of games, and money! F***ING DRIVING ME NUTS WIHTOUT PS2! I'll got o jail for killing someone... I will, I could almost swear it...
