Wow Family Guy, that's a briliant idea! :D That's going to look much better and cleaner than some gapping hole in the controller! I can't wait to see the pics! :D I like the idea of using the 2an vmu port and a plug from a tremor pack to hook up the controller! I looked at the pins on the tremor pack and there's enough pins for a SNES controller + ground! You could use a printer cable for the cable going to the plug if you can't find anything else to use, they have two or three more wires than you'll need. This is gonna look so cool! :D

EDIT:oh, and by the way... is the rumble still able to work? if so...I am so doin this mod your way and patchin' up that hole. Lol  I too never use the 2an port on that controller. I'll just use that lan plug on the Keyboard instead.

Thanks dudex77, I should be able to put a switch on the ground wire...and slap a lan plug into the rumble pak for the other controllers I already rigged up! :D *chants Family Guy to finish mod while waiting at desk* I can't wait for the pics Family Guy! If this works, we'll be able to plug up a playstation controller! The analog stick on the ps1 controller, from what I'm experimenting with, could be wired to the Dpad on the PS controller itself, so that ps1 to DC mod seems much more possible now! :D

It's done and works perfectly!
I was playing some elevator action on my DC using a nes pad :P was cool!
I can't take pictures since I don't got any camera at the moment, but i'll take some soon.

The only difference between this modded DC controller and a non-modded one,(beside being able to plug a nes pad in it) is that the 2de vmu slot seems to be buggish ... when you plug a VMU, it inputs any buttons randomly ...
But when You put a modded nespad-rumbled-pack-connector in it, it plays
fine !

Using this, I don't think you'd be able to make a rumble pack working ... (and yournes pad would be un-usable on a real nes) you could do this with any 13 buttons or less controllers since the vmu port is 14 pin (and you need 1 ground)
You could also do this with both vmu ports and put a 27 buttons controller in it using a rumbleapck and a vmu frame as connectors ...

ALSO: DON'T FORGET TO CUT THE VMU PINS FROM THE MOTHERBOARD !!
It may seems obvious for some, but it'd most likely kill your controller(or at least not works).

ps: I used a 9 connectors cable (9-pin serial cable) for radioshack (9.99 CAN$)

Printers cable (25-pin) are too big for the nes controller. You could also use HDMI(many-pin) or VGA(15-pin) cable to do the snes or psone controller.

Pîctures soon!

[EDIT]:

Here's the connectors pin-out I used.

Nes pins are the pins from the controoler's chipset wich I removed, botom left being 1, bottom right 8, top left 9 and top right 16.

Vmu pins are only important to fit betwen the rumble-pack/vmu connector and the controoler's one, you can cahnge them as you need.

Colors are in french 'cause I'm from Quebec !

Here's it
