ATI Radeon X1600

As you said, iMacs are a great deal, with the discounts. :P

Its sounds like the X1600 is an alright card then, Oblivion here I come! And all the other games I can aquire *cough* kdx / rapidshare *cough* for mac and *spews* windows. :lol:

The trouble with iMacs is when you up to the best one, 24" lcd is a bit hard to look at, you have to turn you head. 20" is good though. The ability to run macosx / windows / linux is good as well.

I believe that ATI (or DAAMIT I guess) is releasing the brand new R600 (X2000 series) graphics core in the next few weeks.

Before you buy 'yesterdays' technology, maybe hold out a bit. I think there will be a 'budget' model, and who knows, it might outperform all the current 1900 series. :o
