Sure, it's pretty easy, but those things are pretty much worthless for a decent portable... no cart. slot

Unless your buying one of the Flashback 2 AOAC systems, yeah I'd agree with Spongebuell. If you get the FB2 and have a cart slot you can have it where you can play more games. Good luck finding one though, I've only seen a handful in over a year.

WHAT?! I paid only something like $35 (tops) for an Atari 2600 4-switcher, 15-20 games, some paddles and joysticks, all shipped. Can't fathom why the price should have risen that much. Atari 2600s are far too common and item to be of that value.

At my Walmart, there were several FB2's when I got mine. So if anyone wants one, I might be able to find one.

To be blunt most Ataris are 4-switch. The heavy-sixers, juniors and any other variation under the sun is only a fraction of the number that 4-switchers were made. Go with it, besides if 4-switchers were not that great I'm sure Ben would have invested time in buying Juniors to build his portables.

The 4-switch and 6-switch are nearly the same thing, they're not "lame". Besides the 4 switch can be cut down pretty small, smaller than the 6-switch unless you completely remake the system board from scratch.

if you look at a 4-switcher, you'll see that there are these 2 difficulty switches (nobody really uses them) on the top, next to the joystick ports. On the 6-switcher, they moved those switches to the front, with power and all those other ones.
