How would i become a videogame tester?

It's easiest to get into betas for PC games, since many console developers do in-house testing. For example, in most cases, to beta-test for Xbox you need an XDK or something along those lines so you can even load the game, they don't even think about making a playable DVD until all the glitches are out of it, or it would cost too much. I'm assuming it's a similar thing for the GCN, and possibly PS2, although someone said otherwise before.
You should just upgrade your computer and try to get into some PC game tests, that would be the easiest. Also, don't be picky about the company, just get whatever you can to start off with.

Quigoni - Do you have any evidence to back that up? Because I work for a major website and I should have heard of that when it happened. Seems to me that you just don't know what you're talking about.

Black Six - Yes, to beta test Xbox games you would usually use an Xbox Debug Kit (you can tell if that's what you're playing on because it is green and says 'debug' on the front).

For GCN games, most beta versions are run off special writable discs called 'NR Discs' that only run on a special 'NR Reader' - basically a modified GameCube.
