The CD device you're talking about is either a Doctor V64 or a CD64. I have the V64, to make GTP with.

There is also a N64 RAM cart called the Doctor V64 Jr. There's one on eBay when I checked earlier today. It's not truly a flash cart, it instead has a stick of 32/64MB RAM and an FPGA with a parallel port. You can store one game on it at a time. It's huge and expensive though.

or not, checking their site its been almost a year since any news of it, dead to the world bummer

Yeah, neoflash usually goes off and works on stuff for months at a time without any news being released.
