yes the wii will have free internet access, but the browser will cost money! BUT its 100% free till june 2007! owned

your right kinda, its free if you buy the Wii console before then, they wont charge you a dime if you buy before june 07, but if you buy after, yes it does cost $$$. I think its there clever plan to get sales.

I find this cost sheet true except I don't think it's needed for 360 buyers to buy the HD-DVD, although compared to the PS3, it is needed to get all the functionality of the PS3.

that is exactly true. The sheet does make it look as though those items are required add ons, but it takes only a small amout of common sense to know that the add ons are not "required" they are just needed in order to make the comparison that Sony wanted to make. I'm sure that many people will not shell out for the hd-dvd add on, but it is a good comparison for those who will.

How does sony know Microsofts business practices for the 360? Again sony interpreted the info wrong.

I still don't get why they'd connect an HD-DVD drive with USBâ€¦

Anyway, I agree with jones that the HD-DVD drive isn't needed if you don't want to watch movies, and if I got the 360, I'd put the money towards a standalone player anyway. Watching DVDs on the PS2 or Xbox isn't pretty or nice, and though it's bound to be better on the 360 and PS3, they're nothing compared to a device that's specifically designed as a entertainment system component (heck, they don't even stack! A VCR can do that!).

I've wondered why they didn't make them stackable, it would be so much easier for people. You can stack a 360 and PS3, you just need to have one of them side ways.

Or you could just have the system on top of your vcr and other stuff, then it doesn't need anything on top of it.

Wow this is pretty low of Sony. It's funny how they use the 360 Core as a reference, but apparently you can't play a game with a wired controller. Hm...

Yes it would be nice to have built-in Wi-Fi on the 360 (probably coming) but it still has an ethernet port at least. Granted if the 360 had all the crap built in as the PS3 does it'd probably cost the same but they made that stuff OPTIONAL to save consumers money.

This fact sheet is like saying your DVD player won't work unless you buy 50 movies.
