hate going off topic, but it's 100 percent impossible for machine to take over <s>man</s> nature. 3 simple reasons: Power, programming, dependance. There will never be a perfect AI, it will always have a bug. A close-to/almost perfect AI would have a limiting dependancy put on it to prevent such things from happening. Even if this is broken, somehow, there's always a need for power, as the sun always sets and batteries will never be anywhere close to not losing some power over time.

Besides that, no one is going to give robots with the capability to destroy us human intelligence. It's just stupid and would be too hard for any one person to screw up and do on a whim.

Oh, and yes, the Amish are accepting modern medicinal help for their children. Since the state has laws that give the Amsih medical care, I'm guessing that they do take medical help on occasions like this. They're not stupid, they just prefer to live lives independant of technology.
