I went home and watched the news all day, though to tell you the truth I didn't really fully understand it at the time

I was in 5th grade and my teacher came in and sat us down and told us that the WTC towers had been hit. We were told not to tell the other classes, and we weren't released early or anything. Things just went on as normal.

I was in 5th grade. My step mother woke me up for school, told me that a tower in NY was hit by a plane, & then criticized me for being Muslim. I got to school, & we got to watch the news, Until there was an announcement on the intercom asking all teachers NOT to let us watch the news. (Kinda retarded, since every student in class got a copy of the news paper every day at school...)
I was SUPPOSED to go on a field trip to an army base that day...
(Somehow I was still mad because one of my local television stations didn't air the Simpsons that day...

I was in 5th grade (that seems like a popular grade). I got up and on the news they had stuff about the WTC getting hit by planes. I didn't want to go to school because I wanted to see if anything else would happen. At school we watched about it on tv for a few minutes, and then we when to our regular stuff. Those idiot terrorists.
Well if we're telling where we were when we found out. It was 11th grade for me and I found out once I walked in to my JROTC class. They had the TV in the room set to the new channel and they were replaying the first plane hitting the towers.
