Hi guys,

I'd like to try to re-locate my optical drive. I think the information that I need is in the below link, is there any chance someone could clarify this a bit? I really don't want to screw it up.

Thanks.

As in not having it connected to the main board? Just like a cart slot relocation really...

Hi

I'm on my second gamecube now, I believe I fried the 1st one.

Now I've got my power regulator relocated, however I'm experiencing the following issue.

My optical drive won't spin on a regular basis. After fiddling with it for approx 20 minutes I was able to get it spinning on 2 seperate occasions, however only while I was in the process of lowering it onto the main motherboard. Once I got it completely down, it didn't spin. Ugh. Can anyone help me with what might be the cause of this. I will update date this post with pictures either later tonight or tomorrow morning.

edit: Here are my pics

while I don't have any help to give you(at the moment), I'd just like to comment on your very nice photo skills. Some of the clearest pictures I've ever seen on this board.
SNESp - 100%
Protable X - 15% - I need money :(

Arg, no, no!. My disc isn't spinning properly. I need some desperate help.

It's really weird, when I lower my optical drive down I'm able to get the disc spinning, but not very consistently? If you have any ideas I would be very appreciative.

Thanks.

KIWIDOGGIE,

Can you be a bit more specific? I'm not sure exactly what you are saying, yet. This gamecube isn't in the case anymore..
