Actually, I think we should try and get C R A P to work... I don't think it's bad at all and would freely say it in front of anyone, even a minister or my grandma!
Also because it's the one word I seem to always use in posts and it always gets changed to "crud" which, at least when spoken, has much less impact and, I feel, ruins the effect.
Is there a way to do it? BRING ON THE C R A P!

I think censorship is a load of garbage. Personally I refuse to do the whole self-censorship thing and I absolutely refuse to be politically correct, and anyone who goes out of their way to be politically correct bugs the hell out of me. I mean saying "african american" instead of "black" or "mentally challenged" instead of "retarded", what's the point? It's just stating a fact. And trying to "soften the blow" or "make it less offensive" is totally pointless. I won't go out of my way to find a "less offensive" way to say the same thing. It's just making the world more finnicky, child-like, and pathetic.

While I do agree with you somewhat that it's pointless on some levels, I don't see society changing any time soon, so it's here to stay, and many people are going to conform to the 'politically correct standard.' It kind of reminds me of some problems my calculus teacher gave us right before vacation. One went something like this:GibsonPlayer15 wrote:I think censorship is a load of garbage. The problem came from a book written in the 40s or 50s, and has all these problems about Eskimos (Inuits, for those of you who are PC) and such. You'd never see that today.A woman falls 144 feet out of a 14 story building. She lands on a grate at ground level and crushes it 18 inches. How fast was she going when she impacted the grate? What was her average acceleration during this second interval?
Anyway, as far as censorship goes here, Ben (and me and gannon, to a lesser extent) are responsible for what can be and can not be posted. This is a private forum, and if you don't like the way we do things, you can complain, but there's no guarantee we'll change anything, because in the end, it's Ben's decision.
