Hopefully they won't be as shortsighted as some other company that said their console would be "hacker-proof".
Get with the times man.

SD Cards = DS cards????

Post by Mini2600 »

I know what sd cards are, i was just wondering if it was the the same "format" memory card as the ds.

Anyway, Imagine playing ds games on a big screen!!!!!

So, will the SD cards be the only way to play games on the virtual console?
Or will the wii have a built-in hard drive? If it doesn't, then it'll be fairly expensive to buy a bunch of high-capacity cards to hold a decent amount of N64 roms.

And I wonder whether the virtual console will be an emulator, or if they'll include all of the old processer chips (like the GBA did for backwards compatibility). I know it's unlikely they'd splurge for all those processers... but it would give the virtual console an edge over all the emulators, since it would theoretically run all games perfectly.

It's emulated. GC is emulated on the Wii PPC since the architecture is nearly identical on both Wii and GC.

Software is signed, so making a touch screen is impossible for now, even for a third party developer.

But I wouldn't put some kind of touch panel interface past nintendo in the future.
