Well, over the next decade or two the normal "disabilities" will no longer apply, thanks mostly to improvements in robotic prosthetics and neural interfaces.
One of the latest robotic arm prosthetic devices has five fingers, 16 degrees of freedom (human hands have 24, but rarely use it all), and is controlled entirely through a neural interface with the user. Furthermore, this arm has the sense of touch - hot, cold, pressure, all is sent back up the arm and accross the neural interface directly into your brain.
Luckily, neural interfaces no longer have to be surgically implanted, but can take the form of a cap worn on your head. Well...at least for less intricate interfaces. After about 20 minutes of training, you can use your thoughts to control a cursor on a computer screen, but that interface is likely to weak for things like sensory feedback.
Remember, technology will solve all of todays problems (and create twelve quadrillion more)!

A noble cause, indeed. No one should be without video games - remember, Leave NO ONE Behind!Listen, I didn't make this a bash my idea topic, I'm just saying I'm going to build it for my cousin seeing it is that he has deformed hands.
On a more serious note, allow me to offer you some constructive criticism: I wonder whether your cousin would be able to use a DDR type foot pad effectively for platformers. Moving a foot from one pad to another may take too much time. Of course, that just means you have an interesting problem to wrap your mind around. Remember, every problem can be addressed by clever engineering.
Why did you decide to do this? Has your cousin always expressed an interest in video games?
