does it stream everything like a video or does it actually render it using the graphics of the system that you are connecting from. if it just streams it like video I think ill have to try that on my laptop when im on vacation. ah playing quake4 half life2 and BF2 on my old IBM t20 laptop.

Yeah, so guess what? I'm not actually at the computer I'm posting on. I'm posting on my computer in the living room, from my computer in my bedroom. I don't know if any of you have ever heard on VNC, but it's awesome. It stands for Virtual Network Computing, and you can use it to connect to any computer, whether it be on your network or elsewhere via the interweb, and pretty much do anything you can do when you're actually at it from a different computer. It takes like... 30 seconds to set up (really) and it displays whatever is on the computer you're connected to (called the "server"), in a window (or you can fullscreen it) on the computer you're connecting from (called the "client"). Keyboard and mouse actions also transfer over to it, of course. (Otherwise I couldn't physically be typing this.) It's kinda like that GoToMyPC thing that they advertise on TV all the time... but free.

I've actually known about this program and programs like it for a while, but I never truely realized the possibilities... You guys should check it out. It's quite fun to use, even if you're just playing around with it. (Like me.) I hope this doesn't cross the spam line, I just wanted to share this awesomeness with you guys.

This sounds pretty cool, but can you only access your server computer? Or can you access any? Would you have to set up a server on each computer to be able to access any of your computers?

It would be so awesome to just screw aroudn with my moms computer randomly... hahaha

Whow........i really hope that app for DS will work with DS Lite, cause im buying the light, and i just sold my old one...which now i realized was a bad idea......so, what all do i need to make DS2Win to work?

Also, on the DS, does the touch-screen allow you to actually tap on things. Like, tap the start button to open it. Double tap Internet Explorer...err...i mean Firefox......to open it...that would be hot!

My friend's dad bought this so he wouldn't have to transfer 300gb of information from one computer to another, he could just use his new computer to control his old one. It looks pretty coo, having it running on a pda would be awesome: you could have a stereo remote/web browser in the palm of your hand

Just yesterday I used it to control my grandmother's computer half-way across the country and get some pictures of me and my family downloaded/unziped from her email.

Tell me too....that would be so cool. Hook up a wireless controller to your PC (I use Xbox) and go downstairs or out side, sit your DS/DS Lite on a table, and start playing.....lol, that would shock some people, yet would be very cool!

Which brings me to my next off topic post:

Pre-R5 release (Not R4) of Deadalus for PSP has been released! I used it...and yes, you get half speed, and sometimes full during menus and select screens. When R5 comes out, i'm going to go Krazy with a K!

The ds isn't nearly powerful enough to play n64 games emulated. A ds processor isn't even as fast as an n64 in the first place, and it slows it down even more running through an emulator, so just forget that idea. My computer can't play n64 games, and it's 400MHz. A ds is 67MHz.

You're missing the point of of VNC. I think the point floating around here is that you could use a desktop computer powerful enough to run N64 emulation and run VNC Server on it as well. Then run VNC Client on your DS via DS2Win, and connect your DS to your network via wifi. Then you can connect to the N64 emulating desktop, and view/control it from your DS.

Am I right guys?

There's two problems: One, I don't think VNC sends audio to the client, and two, the DS probably isn't nearly powerful enough to even display the emulator; even though it doesn't actually have to run it.
