I guess my idea portable would be one that offers emulators of just about every system (yeah like the Dreamcast), but offers small removable memory units (Compact Flash, Memory stick, SD) for storage. No I'm not going to use a Laptop, a laptop is too combersome for such a thing.

It would also be capable of emulation on a grand scale, and maybe even have a large flash drive acting as a Hard Drive.

The OSes would be protected from viruses and permanent user changes with something called a "ROM Drive", which is a thought I've been entertaining for a while now...it would not stop users from making changes, but all those changes could be undone through that drive.

It would also have a small microphone and a video camera for visual chat.
Explain this whole rom drive thing.

I would assume it to be something like Deepfreeze, mixed with some file roll back.

Keep holding on
When my brain's tickin' like a bomb
Guess the black thoughts have come Again to get me
Sweet bitter words
Unlike nothing I have heard
Sing along mocking bird
You don't affect me

I would have a ps2, xbox, GC, N64, DC, Genisis, Atari 7800, psp and ds, and would be able to run emulators and mp4s.
