Sorry about that, I guess I just think the difference between bits and bytes is pretty clear.

It does? It loads about the same speed as any other for me, but I'm using a comcast cable hookup so I'm surfing at a blistering 3000kph (or 3mb).

i have dsl slower than cable, but other sites, like this one, load nearly instantaneously even with the cache emptied.... and that one took maybe.... 10 seconds or something like that....

Anyway, I have lots of respect for old Macs. unlike PCs, they ran especially well and had nice software, despite their limitations(original Macintosh was running a 68000 with only 128KB of RAM, 400K SOny 3.5" Floppy Drive, and no Hard Drive.)

I remember using one in 4th grade(about 1995), and having lots of fun drawing on it's paint program. ^^ MSPaint is an obvious rip-off...

I wish I had an old Mac....or at least a Mac OS floppy that could run on my old Apple IIc....do they exist?

it's kinda funny: apple had a dual monitors feature (in the Classic IIRC) before they had color.

You can't run Mac OS on an Apple. It went Apple->Lisa->Macintosh, Mac OS will only run on Macs, not your Apple IIc, sorry.

Thats not backwards compatable, the Apples were mostly (if not all) 8bit processors and the Macs started using the Motorola 68000 processor.
