Another update with no pictures.
I'm using PS2 pad buttons now, along with some of the PS2 pad PCB. They're textured, which is nice. I just have to remove the XO[]
/\ paint from them. I'm debating on whether I want to use a Genesis-style D-pad. I have plenty, between the Radica pad and various broken Genesis pads.
I've gotten the cart slot off the S&K cart and will most likely wire it up tomorrow. I still need to get a 3-way switch so I can bypass the onboard 6-in-1 ROM when a cart is inserted.
I've decided to add controller and power input as well as A/V output. The Intec screen came with a power adapter and a PS2 A/V pass thru, so I will be using those. I believe this will be the first Genesis portable to utilize a PS2 A/V hookup, and I think that's pretty cool. I'll find a DB9 connector for the controller input, since it will fit a Genesis pad no problem.
I might have something working this weekend.
