If you're going to play a game with phasers, why not use a Borg shield? It offers personal protection, as your comrades die you only get stronger and lets not forget what's more terrifing then when a phaser blast just doesn't work.
Well Star Trek does have some great technology, I like the cultural aspect more. Like I'd love to own a batleph(sp?). Those swords look so cool, I'd just want to get my hands on one for just a minute.
