Kind of hard to compare pre-compiled distros to ones like Gentoo, Slackware and an others like them. If you want ease of use, a user friendly GUI interface, and an exelent (from my linux instructor) package management. I'd say that if you're a new person to the Unix world go with Ubuntu, if your the person that likes to compile everything yourself and have programs optimized to your hardware, go Gentoo.scherzo wrote:Well, I just requested 5 PC CDs.
