SNESp question about batteries

The following work is like a chemistry problem - if I'm right, then I let out a sigh of relief; if not, then I start questioning what went wrong. 
Anyhow, I added up the screen (350mA) and the console (500mA) for a total of 850mA.. Now, the battery capacity is 2800mAh, so battery capacity divided by draw is
2800mAh/850mA = 3.29 hours!
Of course, I'll expect less time than that if it's the case. Buttons and wiring take up juice.. So was I right? =?
