Right now, a co-worker and I are rewiring everything again because the original wires i soldered were short and loose. We are redoing it all as well as what usb recommended in order to connect the charger for the battery. We are using a better wire as well (originally used the wire from an IDE cable). Once we have it up and running again, I'll take a snapshot of the game in play.

Right now, I just need to know how the heck to connect the audio up to it using the diagram EvilnessNMyVeins made (which is the same way he hooked it all up as well). Can anyone help me with that???

I have a correction to make to my diagram (I will put it in the other post), and some information about the headphones jack. First of all, if you don't want the AV jack, bend the leads that go to the top up and pry the tabs apart. Then you can separate the two. Next, take the headphones jack and wire it like this:

(bottom of jack)

Code: Select all

_________
1
     2 3
4
• •
____5____
___

1. Headphone Left
2. Headphone Right
3. Headphone Switch (or leave unconnected, if so, make sure to connect 4)
4. Headphone Switch (or leave unconnected, if so, make sure to connect 3)
5. Ground

I know you can get the video from the original a/v out spot...however, is there another area where you can get video from?

I need to see if the video is causing trouble for me.

Also, my screen is turning on, however, the backlight isn't turning on...any ideas to see if its working still?

Video Connection is fine, however, backlight is done. I already placed an order for a few LED lights that I saw usb recommend.

Next question: What is going on here?????

Image

Power IS going to 7.5v on slot 1 (rear)

All the connections ARE connect to the original spot of the 7805 too.

Any ideas why it wont start up???

you're checking to see if there's continuety through the fuse. It's between the power input and the 7805 location.

Don't you need to take it off to check that? If not, what am I checking it against? I used the multimeter and its showing that its working, or do I need to check it when the battery is on?

Okay, checked it out, and its bad. We replaced it with a working one, however, nothing still comes on the screen...is there another fuse around that we can check?

:::EDIT:::

Does it matter which way the fuse goes on?

Jump by connecting a wire from one end to the other?
