Yeah, the multi-billion dollar industry is just going to die. Totally feasible.Rekarp wrote:Video game crash 2009

yeah, this year's E3 really didn't tell us much in the ways of gaming (well from the big 3 at least). The non hardware manufacturers did much better.Electric Rain wrote:Too expensive? Huh... that sounds familiar, doesn't it? *cough*Sony*cough*grossaffe wrote:a combination of the flop that was the Saturn and the expensive machine that was the Dreamcast; people weren't yet ready to lay down that kind of money on a gaming machine.Electric Rain wrote:*^ stares at your avatar ^* Would it be totally cliché if I said "Kawaii des ne!"?![]()
Speaking of, what exactly was it again that lead to Sega's downfall? Wouldn't it be hilarious if they came out of nowhere like, "BAM! Dreamcast 720!" and destroyed Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo? That has been a problem for Sony, despite their arrogance about their system's price. Although, it seems as though Sony is doing better at E3 than M$ or Nintendo, but I guess that's no saying much.

people *coughBENcough* keep complaining about how the wii will harm gaming in the long run and crap like that, i agree to an extent but it ISNT the wiis fault that the 3rd party developers like to make crap shovelware games to cash in on the wiis popularity instead of making more good quality games that live up to the wiis potential.
if you look at it another way ive hear a LOT of PC gamers complaing that the ps3 and 360 are killing the pc gaming market because of cross platform gaming, for example dumbing down first person shooters for console gaming (auto aim, stupid AI, short, etc) and so on and so forth
