Not really, its a fair amount page wise, but they're pretty easy reads, I think I read Eragon in a couple days my first time. Thats similar to me reading Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: The Flood in a week. Read The Lord of the Rings trilogy, those are challenging books, most people can't get into them, and they take a while to read if you want to understand them.

Rock candy isn't slightly geeky in any way, and nobody, not even a geek would have the console 2 months early unless it was part of their job.
