Wii was horrible...But It is to be expected from a company that turns its back on the people that created it.

honestly, I think the biggest problem is 3rd party support. how many great 1st party games do Sony and Microsoft have for their systems (I'm not talking exclusives, but actual first party). I think Nintendo is continuing to make games for everyone, but their main marketing campaign is directed at the new market in casual gamers.

They don't have to have good first party games all long as they have good games I don't see how it matters... Wii has a problem with 3rd party. Microsoft and sony have a problem with 1st party but they still pander to everyone.

I'm just saying that you're trashing Nintendo as a company for "turning on its consumers" when in reality they have made better first party games than their competition. They as game makers have done more for their consumers than Microsoft or Sony have, they just haven't been as successful in getting other companies to do the same.

Oh man I saw that thing with that Nintendo woman... barf...

I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR FRICKING KIDS.... SHOW US THE GAMES!

Anyway, as I predicated, Nintendo is pissing on its fans and dragging gaming into the Megatouch BS dumps...

MS had some KILLER announcements though... really, they're doing everything right, wish more people would drop the M$ SUCK$ crap and give them a chance.

Look, if you only want to play Nintendo games on your wii that's fine, but if you don't then the 360 or PS3 will have a hell of a lot more 3rd party support.

I'm still pissed about Nintendo's lack of an online system. I hated friend codes from the beginning. They need to work some things out. I guess I just don't like the wii.

The 360's new interface is balls, and so is there avatar thing. I'm sick of all of this casual games crap. It's just for housewives and old people.

Just because you can milk a name doesn't mean you make " Better Games" Just because you make a bunch of first party games doesn't meant your doing more for your customers.

Agreed. I am not a Microsoft fan by any means, but I do have to say, if I was going to go for a current gen console, the 360 really seems like the best choice. I'm just not too impressed with what the PS3 offers for that massive price tag, and I had no interest in the GC, let alone oddball controllers and the Wii.

Yep I was literally saying "Get on with the f****** announcements, I don't care about you or your kids!"

I agree about Microsoft, and I am gonna drop $300 and get me a 360 here real soon.

Oh and I just have to post this.

Nowhere am I saying that I hate the XBOX or the PS3, I'm just saying that Nintendo deserves more credit than they're being given. The point I was making was that while they're advertising they're heavily advertising their system to casual gamers and 3rd parties are trying to cash in on that, Nintendo is still churning out great core 1st party games.

I'll concede that their online system is destroyed by microsoft (although I wouldn't pay for it), but haven't had any experience with PS3 online so I can't comment on it. The friend codes thing, though, really does suck since it doesn't even tell you when someone tries to friend you.

I do think, however, that because Nintendo focuses on marketing the system to casual gamers, that causes third party companies to see the system that way. Maybe when The Conduit is released and people see how good a core 3rd party game can do on the Wii others will follow suit, we'll have to see.

Now I'm going to have to comment on the part of Nintendo "churning out" great core 1st party games as the only one they announced today for the Wii was Animal Crossing and that a new Zelda game is in the works. I just don't think that cuts it. Anyway I would have to say Microsoft had the best because they had many hands on demos then Sony in 2nd because of at least still having core games, the video service, & MAG.

There is no doubt that nintendo's conference sucked big time. no doubt. but, in the interviews with Miyamoto afterwards, some more information has been gleaned. It has been implied that there is another Kid Icarus in the making as well as another Mario game. but, as I said, they've been marketing their system to the casual gamers, but that doesn't mean they aren't still making core games. While it is not concrete and flat-out announced, I have no doubt they are working on these titles (well, I'm not so sure about Kid Icarus, but I am optimistic).

also, the WiiSpeak was a nice symbolic gesture to show that they are still listening to their fans.
