I'll tell you what. If you stop it, and we hold a convention, and we both go, I won't run away screaming when you try to hug me

but I won't enjoy the hug... if you manage to do it

Its a deal. I will finally fullfill my lifelong mission. My mission to hug Spongebuell. Not cause I'm gay just cause hes why I started my atari portable which is gonna loiok awesome in y new case. As an ending note. There is nothing wrong with being ga. I just don't wanna know if you are.

glad to hear I was your inspiration :D

Keep in mind, however, that this is all assuming that we all get together in some way, shape, form, and time.

As for being gay,

I was trying to think of that line. I think it would be cool to have a convention. We could have it some where central. Like NYC or maybe Wisconsin? Or the ultimate Kansas

a lot of us are in the midwest, so Wisconsin would probably be a happy medium. Also, if we have it close enough, Ben would have no excuse not to come.

yeah wisconsin would be the best place (at least for most of us here). my friend's dad lives there (somewhere........) and sometimes I'll visit him with my friend so next time maybe there will be a Portable Crusader Convention (which I most definitely will attend ;))!!!!!!!!!!!
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Is Wisconsin really that bad?
Ah.....Dogma :)

Anyways, it'd be cool to have a convention. Just don't have it anywhere between late june to early july since I'll be over in Germany then :P

lol I remember that line........
anyway, yeah I would have trouble between late june and early to mid-july too 'cause I might be going to Portugal :D (let's see if we can go on the same plane somehow gannon!!!!!! check out each others portables....that's be pretty cool but unlikely to happen). also, I'll have work the rest of the summer :(. maybe sometime in august, that's when I visited in wisconsin last summer.....it'd be cool if this portable convention thing was organized for real......

Hi, I'm a longtime reader of Ben's site (since 2000), but I've never joined the forums, nor do I plan to. I just wanted to say that as a user of PhpBB, Ben, if you go into language/lang_english and go into lang_english.php, you can change the signup agreeement. Look for the line that has

Code: Select all

$lang['Reg_agreement']
at the beginning of it. The full line is

Code: Select all

$lang['Reg_agreement'] = 'The long registration agreement';
Modify the bit in single quotes that's after the equal sign, and don't put any semicolons or single-quotes in there. Leave the semicolon after the closing single-quote. BAMA! You have yourself a custom registration agreement :).

If you can't work this out yourself, just email me at bttf_man (at) bttfman (dot) com with your rules and I'll send you back the custom file.

Good idea, but does anyone honestly read those agreements? It's kinda like those ones when you install software, you just say I agree even though you haven't scrolled through or anything.

If you inserted some Javascript in there that wouldn't let you click the button until like a minute passed, then people would read it.
