Intec LCD Part 2

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Sorry about the double topic...

The large, black wire on the left is the one that the power goes to. inside, the cords go two diffrent places. Near the bottom left of the image, you should see two orange dock things.
Of the two orange dock things that the power cord go to:

1.the taped black and red wires go to the top one.
2.the bottom one goes to the untaped red, white, and black wires.
(the untaped black one is particularly hard to see. its directly under the untaped red one.)

So just connect your battery to the spots where the screen would usually get power (get a regualtor first to drop the voltage)

I used to have one of these lets see what I have on this...

There should be a DC power plug going to the bottom board. The wires on the plug should be YELLOW (power in) and BLACK (ground)

The screen is made to run on 20V normally (despite what the power supply says). But you can mod it to run off 7.2V.

If you try to input anything below 12V, a 12V regulator will not work right and the screen won't function. But fortunatly there is a 7805 (5V regulator) on the LCD screen! This means it does not need 12V to power it. 7.2V will work just peachy.

So here is what you do. There should be a RED (12V) and a BLUE (12V) wire going to the LCD from the bottom board. Completely remove the BLUE wire, since both wires were connected at trace on the LCD anyways.

Cut the red wire at the bottom board. Resolder it to the YELLOW wire from the power input (as desribed above).

Now simply connect a 7.2V battery to the normal power input plug, and there ya go.

Ok, you just cut the red wire off the adjust/power/audio board, and then solder it to the yellow power in wire. Leave the yellow wire alone, it stays where it is. Got it?
