Good, Inexpensive tools

Post by bicostp »

www.harborfreight.com has some good, cheap tools. For example, in their catalog this week I saw a <a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... remel-type rotary tool</a> for $8. (I know it may be cruddy, but if it's only for hobby work then it's not too bad.)

Some other deals:

<a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... r=47440">A pack of 4 AA Ni-Cad batteries </a>for $3. (I know they're Ni-Cad, but at this price you can get a bunch of them. :P)
<a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... r=6047">10 pack of electrical tape </a>, $3
<a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... 748">1,200 cable tie, asstd. lengths,</a> $5
<a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... mber=33499"> AC/DC digital multimeter</a>, $5
<a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... 8-function digital multimeter</a>, $12

I've ordered from them before, and they're secure and they ship things out quickly. While they mainly handle industrial/shop stuff, the have some things for do-it-yourselfers and hobbyists.

What do you think?

It opens a rip in the time space continuum, and pull AC/DC out from thousands of miles away, to your back-copulate-yard. And if that wasnt enough, it checks for continuity, voltage, etc. And if you're still reading, you're a moron, go away.

I think hotdog was kidding. at least partially

but don't forget about a 'helping hand' from American Science & surplus:
http://www.sciplus.com (can't link directly to it, you'll have to do the search) they have them for $3.95 and $8.95 if you need the magnifier.

if you're ever in the milwaukee area, you have to check these guys out. (if, for no other reason than to save shipping)
everything from bulk bins full of electrical whatchamadoodles to tank gunsights.

edit: link fixed...kinda...
