If this was out and I had known about this before my ultra-portable PC project, it may not have been started! One of the reasons I started my uPC (or PCp) project is that my PDA couldn't handle some DivX's I wanted to watch at full-res, and could barely handle resized video. At points along the way, I was strongly considering stoping the project, and trying to make my Philips DVP 642 (a full-sized DVD/DivX/Mp4 player) portable. It was a bit too complex (on par with the uPC project complexity), so I just continued. Kind of too late now for me to stop now, being around 90% done now.
While my uPC can do more, the spark that made me do the the project was that I wanted to be able to play DivX files without re-encoding. The fact it can play files off of SD card (what my PDA uses) is just iceing on the cake. I could cram 1GB in the player and play DivX's with no moving parts, with easier transfer than burning a DVD. Only things that would make that player better is if it could play off CF or HD, and use RGB video to the PSOne screen (from the page it looks like it plugs into the composite video plug of the PSone screen).
Still, one heck of a deal for $100, though you have to supply the screen and battery.
Portable DVD/DivX/MP4 player that can use a PSOne screen!

Nice, my N-Forcer (my Pcp project) although still in planning stages and gathering money, was made to get money, and while I'm making it a portable, I'm still going to give it AV-Out into my Television to watch VCDs, SVCD's and DVD Movies easily, since I want a CD Drive and a SD Card slot.
