I'm setting up a mirror from my backup right now. When done, it can be seen at doomportables.tk (yeah, I know it's the placeholder now)

I have it working somewhat, but I still need to change some stuff. I was hoping I could do it myself, but I may need the almighty gannon's help afterall. Basically there are some problems adding news with the script gannon made (or took, I don't know

) so adding news is buggy and comments cannot be made. Gannon just got on AIM as I wrote this, so it may be up soon

how do you do the host mod?

He probably used a database of some kind, and when the site was moved, the references to the database stopped working correctly, because you're on either a new database, or you need to add a new database with all the old info. (Assuming you're using some database system such as mySQL)

Spongey set up the database all right, it's just that there are some parse errors in the mysql statement because of the different site config.

i did that but it saved a separate txt file how do i fix it?

When you save the actual "hosts" file, make sure that you change the "Save as type:" to "All Files". If you just hit "Save" last time, try using "Save As...", and overwrite the file.
