Question about homebrews
So i have been pondering lately on how homebrews are done exactly, and how that they are put into cartridges. Also what does it require to create a homebrew to put it simple, what is used to program the game? I have seen a lot of decent homebrews but can people also edit nes/snes games and make their own versions of the game? like increased difficulty and how difficult would it be to create a homebrew rpg as in deph as dragon warrior (Not that i want to do this i am just curios, i figured with today's technology or w/e would people not have a much easier time designing games for the nes? or is it just as hard as it once was, when it is being created for the 8 bit system.

So no one can answer this question? like would it take a whole team of people to develop a complete 8bit game? or would it be much easier with tools today?

You do realize that you posted your question less than an hour and a half ago, don't you? And maybe 8 different members have been online in that amount of time, so maybe none of them knew. Do you post an item on ebay and then take it off if no one has bought it in the first hour? The rule is wait 24 hours before bumping (unless the world will end if you don't get an answer quickly).Wicker2015 wrote:So no one can answer this question?
12. Wait 24 hours before you bump your topic. Not everybody reads the forums 24/7, give them a chance to read your thread! It doesn't make sense to bump your thread every 5 minutes, when the only people with a chance to see your un-bumped topic are spambots and Google's web crawler.

Re: Question about homebrews
yeah that's a good question and your first response is probably the best thing for you.
home brew games take patience, there are few cross platform game makers. there are tons of difrent ways to start.
making devices to bridge pc to cart.
being familiar with gaming environments.
researching for the first two. lots of people developing like ideas and suggestions to tangent off with.
I helped a few avid programmers build attempts to cross a windows drag and drop gamemaker with Nintendo Ds. They got pretty far and all I did was bring them resources. the still credited me for the hand years latter.
