I bought this TV back on Sunday. It's a Hannspree 28' LCD (technically 27.5'). It's also a full 1080p HD LCD TV. And I paid $299.99 for. I'm going to be using this both as my TV and computer monitor.

It should be here by the earliest Friday.

So what do you guys think of it?

Who knows if the Namco Portable will ever become a reality? :P

Can't play Duck Hunt on it. Useless. :P

Sounds like a good deal, although I don't know who Hanspree is. You should get a DVI-HDMI adapter for max PC quality. A Blu-Ray disk drive would work well with your setup as well, and they're under $100.

Well actually, if you have a homebrew enabled Wii, you can use the NES emulator FCE Ultra GX to use the Wiimote instead of a zapper.

TV sounds schweet. I'm jealous, but I also wish I had a bluray player, digital cable, or a computer with enough processing power to play HD video... So yeah, it'd be pretty useless.

For about $30 more, I grabbed a Dynex 32" 720p.

For the same price I got a 27" Samsung P2770HD. Samsung and Sony are the only names in TV I'll ever buy (for LCD and Plasma respectively)

That TV is 16:10 so the image is going to look horizontally stretched because 1920x1080 is 16:9. Oh well, maybe it will look okay to you.
