PSP laptop

Just search youtube. You'll find something. Anyway, what ffc cable d you guys think would be suitable? I heard the guy who made he one thats all over the internet used a sony cd/dvd durner ffc from an old dell laptop. there are a lot out there. WHat your opinions?

No, its actually there. You have to read the entire topic. Its tells you what to reprogram in the chatpads firmware.

Edit: it is a custom firmware for the chat pad that makes the chat pad work with the PSP. That is all it is. THe topic on the ps2.irg is made by the guy who is developing the firmware.

I think it would actually be better to extend the controls into the bottom and leave the screen, motherboard, and drive on top. If you think about it, you aren't actually going to be depending on this thing to stand up on it's own to often, and if you do, adding a stand wouldn't be to hard. You wouldn't actually use something like this in your lap.

No, I wouldn't use it on my lap. Thanks now I don't need to worry about getting an ffc. But I would make the case look like a DS case. SO I could place it on a desk or table standing up. I plan to add dual nubs.

Edit: as to your question before snowpenguin: I have a PSP so I would supply that. Plus, I want to try ttgsb's idea. It sounds a bit easier than the original method of doing this sort of thing. But I wouldn't really be able to pay. I could trade a few things at most. If you look at the topic in the marketplace subcategory of the forum, you'll see what I have to offer.

Im going to do it the original way. Im just put the psp screen on the top without the disc drive and mother board on the bottom. Doing it the other way would make it top heavy.

Ive a question, what sort of plastic would you guys suggest for a case for this thing. I dont want to make a boot leg on like the original design of the PSP laptop.

Personally, I was thinking to try to find two psps and make both sides out of the backs of those. idk if that would really look good or not, though.

I would. Only thing I think is that the ds Lite case would be too small to fit just eh original psp motherboard; let alone the control boards. Still what sort of plastic would be good to make a case.

If you're planning on doing a project like this, I would at least upgrade to PSP slim if I were you.

Im trying to conserve as much money as possible. I using what I have which is a psp phat. Unless I could find a psp slim. But then again if I got a psp slim, i would use it to make a psp gameboy like this http://ui03.gamespot.com/1090/gbd-79120_2.jpg
