HELP QUICK! LED INSTALLATION QUESTION!

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

If we don't answer the first time, we won't the second.

Could use a file...

Please give us more than 6 minutes to reply. (I learned that the hard way.)

I used my swiss army knife (the thing rocks!)
For the plastic I used the knife. (Its pretty sharp...)
For the metal I used a combination of wire cutters and a file to smooth it down.

Though remember what your doing with knives! About a week ago I did the LED mod to my only psone screen, and while cutting a slit, put the knife down face up. :P I went down to cut another slit, applyed pressure to the blade, which was still facing us, and cut halfway through my finger. :P :) This got blood everywhere! (Tis' but a scratch!)
Anyway, be careful with knives!

You could hold a lit match to a needle or small nail, then use the hot nail to make a gouge in the plastic.

Or, press a hot soldering iorn to the plastic (smoky, but it works!)

Thanks for all your suggestions. I just went ahead w/ my swiss army knife and kept cutting till I finally got it wide and deep enough. What was wierd is that sometimes the plastic would cut real easy and sometimes it would take FOREVER! But thankfully, the LED mod is over. I will never do that again in my entire life. That was extremely frustrating.

You could heat up the S A K, and put it on the plastic.
