netbooks are sub 10" anyhting over 11" is a regular laptop

I go by optical disk drive - if it's got one (or has a slot for one), it's not a netbook.
Thus, by my definition, the Air is a netbook. So be it.

But there is a 10" EEE with an optical drive, and I have a 14" laptop with no optical drive. Does that make the EEE a real computer, and the 14" a netbook?

Eh, if I got it, it would be so I could skip the XP liscense cost, and install my own OS.
Dual boot that+ XP will work well, though.

I was actually thinking about that.
But I would need to get an External Disk Drive.
The only thing I dont like about the HP Minis are the trackpads.
The mouse buttons are on the side.
But I should get used to it.

Actually, you could install XP off a USB drive if you have one. MicroXP works well, and is only 199mb.
Also, you could use tap to click; just tap on the pad, and it clicks!
