Whats the best pocket sized internet browsing device?

Alright. Heres the deal. I had an iPod Touch 1g. Got stolen at school. I'm pissed, but not that pissed. Ive been looking around at school and it seems to me EVERYBODY has either an iPod Touch or iPhone. Now I want to break the chain and be different. So here are my guidlines. I want a device with internet browsing and the ability to have like other applications. Also, I think it would be cool to find a nice phone with Wi-fi and stuff and just use it unactivated. So any suggestions?

Honestly, the iPod Touch probably is the best mobile internet browsing device.

I have a Cell phone, DS Lite, PSP, and a iPod Touch and the iPod Touch beats them all at web browsing.

You could try to get an unlocked/unactivated T-Mobile G1. I've heard good things about them.

Yea I was thinking that! But I checked on ebay and people are selling them for like 500-700 dollars!

While the iPod is a great for web browsing, a Pocket PC has more bang for the buck. The web browsing it's awesome, but it works. Flash doesn't work, but there are ways to make YouTube work. Also, they can do a lot more then browsing. You can get games and good apps too. I have a Dell Axim x30. It was $90.

Go on, You know you want to!

My eee has now become the greatest thing I have bought, It comes to college with my every day, takes notes, goes on the interwebs, listen to music, watch movies, edit some photos, create some music, makes databases, plays emu's and loads more and what's best for me is the 6-7 hours battery life so I don't really bother taking a charger with me now as that lasts me the day!

What model and battery do you have? That is pretty impressive.

The Nokia n800 can beat the crap out of the touch for internet. It supports flash and has a 800x480 4" touchscreen. The only problem is that it isn't as solid software wise as the touch. It can do far more, but you have to mess around to get it to work sometimes. The software is almost all homebrew. And it has 2 SDHC slots, which means you can buy 32GB (16GBx2) for about $70.

Wow everyone at your school has an Ipod Touch? damn, you must live in a wealthy town.

Heck where I live, at school I rarely see anything more expensive than the an Ipod Classic, with the exception of a friend of mine who has a 80GB Zune.

I personally like the DS Web browser though, beats the crap out of any Cell phone's web browser IMHO.

901 7.4v 6600mAh, Standard. Keep in mind I have wifi off as there is no public wifi at college but with it on I lose about an hour. Brightness Just over halfway

Really? I've come to think of the DS web browser as an absolute last resort. It just downright sucks compared to any real computer (laptop or otherwise). The resolution of the DS is completely unfit for web browsing. Also, the uber-limited RAM doesn't help.

I'd seriously take a look at the G1, I've heard very promising things about Android.
