No, Ian, you're right. He did do a few Geico ads. The one I remember most was the housewife talking about a flood.

Excatly what I'm thinking. I mean, not many people actually know who he was but, even so he was a legend.

Daww.... I gonna miss him. I heard about this today too, and several people in my speech class said I should be the next announcer guy.

HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!!!???? Are you stalking me?? Oh, I saw a segment on the local news, and it looked nothing like the guy. I think it was from the '70's though, judging by the video quality.

Wow, that blows. Films and things just won't be the same...even with the myriad of impersonators out there, no matter how good they are, they just won't be able to match up to his ability to make anything epic!

Imagine this is a movie trailer.

In a world where there is no Don LaFontaine..

Movie trailers will be...

A lot.

More.

Boring.

RIP. :(
I hope they start his eulogy with the line "In a world...". It's only fitting.

'Tis sad to see such a great man go. What he brought to the industry shall never be forgotten, nor under-appreciated, as he taught us all how to announce.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.
