Well, seeing as I felt like a total lame ass last year at MGC with my no portables at all, I decided to get my butt in gear and finish this SNES I've been working on for a couple months on and off. The case is done (and purdy, I must say) so I just have to wire it all up.
Question, though, and I know it's very n00bly, but my brain's just not working right now. On this ultra-famous diagram, when you have to tie the first hole of the 7805 to the other 7805 on the back of the PSOne screen, what pin do you solder to, and when it says "first 7805", which one is first? I'm assuming you solder to the first lead on the 7805, but I wanna make sure, seeing as I've cooked one of these screens before assuming I was wiring it right. Thanks for the help!

I like to keep it straight in my mind this way:
When you're looking at a 7805 from the front with the leads pointed downwards, the left lead is unregulated in, the middle is ground, and the right lead is +5v regulated out. An easy way to remember this is that the "7805" printed on the regulator lines up with what the leads are: the "5" is on the far right so the far right lead is +5v out. The "7" is on the left so that's your unregulated voltage in (and since most portables run on over 7 volts then that's handy).
Does that help?
