Best battery for the Wii
What is the best battery for the nintendo Wii? i need a 12v battery and it would be nice for rechargeable and as small as possible, also if i would like to have the much playtime as possible. Im making my Wii protable http://www.wiicade.com/forum/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0 just like Ben, but i want mine battery powered also.
It's going to be expensive, but look for a Li-Ion or Li-Po battery of 4000mAh+. These came up in a quick search: http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?P ... ProdID=919

I think you'll want at least a 5Ah one, but I'm not sure what the Wii draws, so I don't know how long what would last. You're likely going to be carrying your Wiip in a bag from place to place, so you can just leave the clunky battery in there and have a wire going between them. Only problem is that lead acid batteries can't be discharged too low. I hope you're also looking at the weight.
Although the size may be small, they're really heavy.
Here's some examples, straight from batteryspace:
12V 7.5 AH $20
Dimension (LxWxH) 151mm (5.95") x 65mm (2.56") x 94mm (3.70")
Weight 2.54 kg (5.60 lb)
12V 10 AH $40
Dimension (LxWxH) 151mm (5.95") x 65mm (2.80") x 111mm (4.48")
Weight 3.3 kg (7.28lb)
As for the power supply, is it a regulated switching one or a standard unregulated transformer one? If it's light, then it's probably circuitry and not a heavy metal coil. If it's light, 3.7 A is not what a Wii uses.
