Atari 2600 Revision 5.1 Question

Post by Polish Don »

Hi !

I've had Ben build me two Rev 5.1. One works perfectly, the other one must be a spy from Atari :D

It only plays Atari carts! If I pulg in a Activision, Coleco, etc the 2600 acts like there is no cartridge installed.

Any Ideas ???

Yep !

They are standard Atari 2600 compatable cartridges. I can put the same cartridge into another Rev 5.1 and it works fine.

Well, E-Mail ben. We all don't know too much about the workings of the Rev 5.1s

First thing that pops into my head would be a loose cart slot wire or damaged cart slot. The atari carts might not be using the connections that are loose/damaged.

Ya that's probably the most logical thing. Might just be a ground thats not connected and the atari carts have them connected internally but these carts only use those.
