Well I got bored again... (new pictures of a new fort added)

Post by gamemasterAS »

Well I got bored again so I built this with all my free USPS boxes.

Outside of it with me in it

Entrance

Inside

I know its a bit lame but its fun to just lay in a fort and relax sometimes. Makes me feel like I am 5 again.

No roof? What kind of fort has no roof? The blankets are supposed to go on top to make the roof, unless you make an igloo.

Nice use of time.

damn, now I want a fort, but the wife would kill me...

When I was a kid, my favorite was securing a large sheet to the floor and using a mini boxfan to inflate the setup.

Back in elementary school, we would play with a parachute in PE, and we'd lift it in the air, pull the outer rim down behind us and sit on it. It was so cool, it would stay filled for like 5 minutes if nobody was stupid and got up.

Source of boxes, USPS.

thanks for the link vskid! I remember the parachute from gradeschool. did anyone else ever get the opportunity to play the cat and mouse game where you would get pull the thing down quickly over someone while another person would try and catch them from above?

Man we used to do that too, like once a month or something. I never understood how it worked, I think it had a hole in the middle, but I'm not sure if it really did or not. It was so sweet, like a huge bubble or something.

They do have a hole in the middle., I think its just that when you pulled it down you kept enough air in the parachute that it took a while for it to go out the hole, kinda surprising since the hole was 6 inches to a foot in diameter. Sometimes I really wish I was back in grade school, recess, easy work, those were the times.

I need a ton of tape to make a igloo though, and I have none. :(
